Rapid Rural Community Response (RCRC) is a one-of-a-kind coalition of livelihoods non-profits and civil society organizations in India with a combined reach of 16 million people and presence in 110 districts in the country.
RCRC's action surveys are an attempt to inform members' action/interventions as well as policy-making on certain kinds of issues that require immediate response/action, usually from a government stakeholder/body. These action surveys can inform responses to crisis situations, like migrants returning home or people cutting down on food or running short of cash.
ONI Impact Thesis
By building a one-of-a-kind non-profit consortium that partners with central and state governments, RCRC is providing a stronger voice to its members, thereby also creating deeper impact for the people touched by the lives of these non-profits. By developing a unique, participative, and quick-response action research infrastructure, RCRC is also helping demonstrate the power of collectives and collaboration to work at scale.
