CredR raises $6.5 million in funding round led by Yamaha Motors
CredR is a platform for buying, selling and servicing used motorcycles. CredR uses an online to offline distribution approach and focuses on providing good quality, affordable and warranty enabled vehicles to those in need. The startup is working towards formalising the used two-wheeler industry, which continues to remain fragmented. It aims to offer affordable quality motorcycles to people who might be on a tight budget. Its aim is to offer independence and ease of travel through the medium of used motorcycles.
Trustworthy and Affordable used bikes
Director's Note: On the morning of CredR shoot, when Sasidhar walked on the sets, he was nervous and a bit hesitant, something I had missed in my initial (remote) conversations with him. There he was, sitting on the ‘Hero’s Chair’ in awe at the film lights and the dolly track, but also petrified. That’s when I knew my planned approach of charging in with 34 questions was not going to work here! We needed a distraction, so I decided to lead with - Hey Sasidhar, why two wheelers? Why scooters and bikes?
I silently hand-signalled our cinematographer Jason to start rolling all cameras. Sasidhar in a matter of seconds forgot about all his inhibitions and began speaking about Cred R with a twinkle in his eyes, hopping from one topic to another effortlessly. Sasidhar left the sets full of pride and optimism in the future of CredR and the millions he serves, and left us with a feeling of gratitude and joy.
