eGov Foundation has developed an open-source tech platform that enables efficient and effective municipal operations, better decision making, enhanced accountability and transparency, and in-turn, improved urban service delivery of administrative operations. eGov uses a mix of top-down policy change at the central level (to generate demand) with on-ground implementation and capacity building support at the state and local level (to drive adoption and usage) to scale its platforms.

Director's Note: When I started researching and studying about eGov and the impact it has made in the lives of over 160 million Indians, I thought I would meet a mastermind, a star CEO with an entourage. He is all of that and more but without the frills and the entourage. His compassion for his country and his curiosity towards his community makes him an apt leader for eGov. He credits his mother for his humble nature, his wife keeps him sane and grateful and his dreams keep him passionately charged. His vision might help see the innumerable problems in our Indian civil system but it’s his empathy that helps finds the solution to those problems.
